Lynne provides a professional, confidential and caring service, working at the client’s pace at all times.  Lynne believes firmly in the importance of client choice, and of making the right match of client and therapist.  To this end the first session with Lynne will be on a ‘getting to know you’ basis; finding out together whether Lynne is the right therapist for you to work with.

 Lynne has over 10 years experience of working therapeutically with individuals and groups and has a proven success rate; holding a reputation for excellence in her field. 

Some of the problems Lynne has worked with include stress, anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, depression, anger management, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and difficulties in living.

Lynne receives referrals from EAP’s, social services and local mental health providers, as well as self-referrals. She works with children and adolescents and specializes in working with trauma and long-term difficulties.
Lynne has a private practice in Mumbles and Killay.

Lynne provides Consultative Supervision for counselors and other professionals; working with individuals, with groups, and with organizations.

Lynne facilitates self-development groups; and runs specialist groups on dealing with anxiety, stress and depression, amongst others.

Lynne Wager is an ACCREDITED Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; an ACCREDITED member of the Counselling Society; and an Associate member of the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners.  Lynne is on the UKRCP Register of Psychotherapists and Counsellors.  Her initial training was in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Swindon Counselling Services under the auspices of the Westminster Pastoral Foundation.  This is the core of Lynne’s theoretical orientation.  Since then Lynne has trained in a Postgraduate Integrative Diploma at University of Wales College Newport, and has further specialised in Trauma (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in particular); Groupwork; Creative Supervision; Integrative Arts Psychotherapy; Attachment Theory; CBT and Mindfulness.

As an Accredited member of the BACP(British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Lynne adheres to their Ethical Framework and abides by their complaints procedure.
